We didn't start as outdoor experts. We started with a simple observation about our communities.
The Beginning
pureold s.r.o. was founded because we noticed something troubling. Seniors in Czech Republic weren't getting outside enough. Not because they didn't want to — they just weren't sure where to go, how to get there safely, or what activities would actually suit their interests and abilities. We're talking about people with decades of life experience, still curious, still energetic, but isolated from nature.
Building the Solution
We didn't create yet another fitness program. Instead, we've developed educational materials focused on the most beautiful, accessible outdoor destinations near major Czech cities. Our approach is straightforward: provide detailed information about riverside picnic areas near Český Krumlov, forest walking trails in Podyjí nature reserve, birdwatching opportunities at Třeboň wetlands, and thermal wellness parks in Karlovy Vary. We're not just describing places — we're creating pathways for seniors to explore them confidently.
What We've Learned
Over years of working with seniors, we've discovered that outdoor relaxation isn't one-size-fits-all. Some people want guided birdwatching expeditions where they'll learn about migratory patterns. Others simply want clear information about a riverside picnic spot where they can sit, read, and listen to nature. We've adapted our materials to serve both groups — and everyone in between.
